‘Sleep Matters: the impact of sleep on health and wellbeing’ is the Mental Health Foundation’s in-depth report on the importance of sleep and its crucial role for our health, both physical and mental.
The report provides information about sleep, why we need to sleep, and what happens during sleep. It comprehensively summarises our current understanding of sleep problems, and explains what can happen if we don’t sleep properly.
-
The report also describes ways in which we can improve our sleep, and explains possible treatments for those who are finding it difficult. The report includes new data from the Great British Sleep Survey. This survey is still online, you can take part by visiting the Sleepio website, www.sleepio.com.
Read the report and find out why sleep matters.
